Terms of Service

This is a draft Terms of Service for the closed friends beta. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Sections marked (owner review) need confirmation before any public launch.

1. Beta status

The Roleplay Bot is currently in a closed, invite-only friends beta. Only Discord servers explicitly approved for the beta can use the dashboard. Features, behavior, and availability may change or be removed at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee any level of uptime or availability during this period.

2. Your Discord account

You need a Discord account to use The Roleplay Bot, and you access it by logging in with Discord. Your use of Discord itself remains subject to Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

3. Acceptable use

4. Your content

Configuration and records you or your server's staff create (ranks, application forms and answers, ticket messages, activity and event records, and similar) remain yours. You are responsible for content your members submit through forms, tickets, and similar features on your server.

5. Service provided "as is"

During this beta, the bot and dashboard are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

6. Access and termination

We may remove a server from the beta allow-list, or remove the bot from a server, at our discretion — for example for a violation of these terms, abuse, or simply to manage the size of the closed beta.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Roleplay Bot and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the bot or dashboard during this beta. (Owner review: this clause has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be finalized before public launch.)

8. Governing law

(Owner review: a governing jurisdiction has not been established and should be added here before public launch.)

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated during the beta. Check the "Last updated" date above.
