Departments are whatever you call them
A police force, a battalion, a fire service, a civilian council, a hospital — the bot has no opinion. Each department is a ladder of ranks, each rank points at a Discord role you already have.

Promotions keep Discord in step
Promote or demote somebody and their Discord roles follow — the old rank's role comes off, the new one goes on, and it is recorded in their rank history.
Promotion requests
Members can request a promotion and staff approve or deny it, so the conversation happens somewhere other than a DM nobody else can see.
Requirements, if you want them
Time in rank, activity, events attended, trainings passed, certifications held, infractions — each one independently optional. A rank with none configured promotes exactly as it always did.
Permissions by rank
Grant what a rank may do rather than who a person is, and see the whole ladder at once in a matrix. Nothing is gated by a rank's name or its position in the list.

Drift is reported, never corrected behind your back — somebody whose Discord role was changed by hand is flagged so a person can decide what is right.

How many you can have
Free servers get 5 departments with up to 10 ranks each — enough for most communities to never notice a limit. Pro raises it to 15 and 25, Premium to 50 and 50, and Enterprise removes it. The live figures are always on the pricing page.
Coming down from a paid plan never deletes or disables anything you built. You keep every department and rank you have; you just cannot add another until you are back under the limit.
What ranks and departments do not do yet
There is no bulk promotion or mass role assignment, no scheduled or automatic promotion when a requirement is met — eligibility is reported, and a person still decides — and no import of an existing roster from a spreadsheet or another bot.
Role drift is reported rather than corrected: if somebody's Discord role is changed by hand, you are told, and nothing is silently put back.
